Location: Montreal

Working on a per show basis, you’ll work closely with the VFX Supervisor, VFX Producer, and coordinators to ensure that production is on schedule and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate the workload to ensure that artist assignments match individual abilities to optimize performance and that the delivery schedule is realistic and follows the pipeline steps
Schedule milestones and weekly deliveries and plan ahead to ensure these are met
Anticipate and flag potential problems, take the initiative to identify solutions, and manage impact on schedule and overtime
Supervise the work of VFX Coordinators and Production Assistants
Check-in regularly with the crew, verify artists' time logs and manage overtime hours
Create and update reports to track the productivity of the department and of individual artists
Work with the show VFX producer to ensure that project scheduling and budget requirements are met in all departments

Qualifications & Experience

3 - 5 years of experience in production, preferably in visual effects for film
Post-secondary education in Film Production or related field
Advanced knowledge of Shotgun
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
