Location: Montreal

Reporting to the Head of IT or a person mandated by him, the Network & Security Administrator is responsible for defining, implementing, supporting and documenting the corporate Network Infrastructure and Security at Rodeo FX. As a key role, the Network & Security Administrator will have direct influence in the direction and evolution of the IT park. On-call & occasional off-hours work may be a requirement of this role.

Key Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting of complex problems related to Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking issues and raise support calls with 3rd party vendors as required
Provide capacity planning for both short and long-term Network and Security needs
Installs, maintains and manages information security tools and technologies (including security information systems and event management [SIEM], intrusion prevention systems [IPS] or detection system intrusion [IDS], anti-malware software, vulnerability management scanners, firewalls, etc.)
Contributes to internal and external security audits and risk and threat assessments to ensure compliance with security policies, standards and procedures, and works with the team to take corrective action when risks related to security are detected
Works actively to reduce information system security risks
Ensures the monitoring and implementation of organizational policies and standards related to the security of information systems
Analyzes cyber threats and recommends preventive or intervention measures
Participates in or conducts cyber security incident response and participates in or directs the related corrective actions
Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement and implements these changes
Develop procedural and technical documentation and custom performance / metrics reporting
Performs necessary network infrastructure maintenance in accordance with best practices and Company change management policies
Work with internal team members to ensure stability of the infrastructure and service as a whole
Participate in 24/7 support of corporate network services for incident response/service restore activities

Qualifications & Experience

6+ years of networking experience in 24X7 production environment
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or higher networking certification (CCNP or higher)
Expert knowledge of networking layers 2 and 3
Experience with Juniper
Knowledge of and experience with security best practices
Knowledge of and experience with equipment/network concepts (firewalls, proxies, security)
Expert experience with TCP/IP protocol/stack and low-level network troubleshooting
