Teaming up with ad agency Tank and production company Cinélande, Rodeo FX contributed to recreate visually one of the historical moments of Arctic territories exploration: Franklin’s lost expedition.

Inspired by the stunning images filmed by Director François Girard, the Rodeo FX artists entirely re-created the ships, as well as some polar environments from the famous 1845 Arctic expedition led by Captain Sir John Franklin, which was meant to traverse the last unnavigated section of the Northwest Passage. The team also built all the platforms and technologies used in 2014 to learn the fate of the Franklin Expedition and find the wrecks of the ships that disappeared 170 years ago. The artists also conceived or enhanced the spectacular landscape and the icy and polar environments, as well as the dramatic arctic skies.
