The pilot for SyFy’s latest show, Krypton, is out, and our team is incredibly proud to be working on the original series. Our Quebec team created the effects for the pilot, which helped the show get the green light, and were then tagged for the full first season. After creating the main environments and assets for the story, we became lead vendor for the show and our team is currently working on the final episodes of the first season.
Working on high-quality TV shows is an exciting challenge and change of pace from film for our team who must deliver top work in extra tight deadlines. One of the biggest challenges working on a cascade of 2-3 weeks between episodes is building CG plans with extremely brief turnaround times. As we get close to wrapping up post-production on the first season of the series, our team is on-track to finish deliveries to our highest-standards while meeting all the studio’s needs.
Congratulations to our team for their superhuman work on Krypton!
About the show:
Krypton is set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe, The Halcyon) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.
