We proudly animated 12 paintings in the Poison Histories Gallery at the Venenum exhibition at the Musée de la civilisation in Quebec City (MCQ).

Designed and curated by the Musée des Confluences in Lyon, France, and adapted by Musée de la civilisation, this interdisciplinary exhibition marries collections from the life and Earth sciences and from the Human Sciences. Visual arts, documentaries, multimedia devices and living creatures come together to dialogue with ethnographic and natural science collections.

Characters larger than life and more varied than the others are the gallery of portraits of “superheroes”: Marie Curie, Cleopatra, Socrates, Nero, Spiderman, and more! Wind, snow, smoke, ashes, spiders, vipers were created to shine the 4 interactive zones.

Our artists from Montreal and Quebec City worked together to animate these paintings. Marjolaine Tremblay was in charge of the artistic direction. She has thus collaborated closely in the realization of the exhibition.

Venenum runs until March 8, 2020.
