Cinefex’ author Graham Edwards runs a series of articles on the Cinefex blog, in which he asks a range of VFX professionals the simple question: “Who or what inspired you to get into visual effects?”

Travelling back in time a few years (or more!), some twenty Rodeo FX artists look back at their career path and recall the reasons that made them choose the fascinating world of VFX! Our artists share their stories and explain who or what got them excited about visual effects. Whether it is the revolutionary VFX of classic movies like Star Wars, Jurassic Park and The Matrix, or invisible effects of such films as Forrest Gump and Social Network, or even ground-breaking animation movies like Toy Story; the sources of inspiration are highly diversified, fascinating, and even sometimes surprising!

Read the article on the Cinefex blog and discover what motivated our artists to develop their talent and become so enthusiastic about visual effects. Which goes to show that a specific moment, an inspiring person, or even an apparently banal movie scene can be a life-changing event!
