Only a few weeks after winning the Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects, the TV series Game of Thrones is now nominated for an HPA Award in the category “Outstanding Visual Effects—Television” for the episode “Battle of the Bastard”.

Rodeo FX is one of the main studios nominated alongside VFX Supervisor Joe Bauer in the “Outstanding Visual Effects” category for Game of Thrones. The popular TV series could also be awarded two more prizes in the editing and sound categories.

The Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) Awards honor excellence in post-production and recognize achievements in editing, sound, visual effects and color grading for work on Television, Commercial as well as on Feature Film. The first annual HPA Awards were held in 2006.

The winners of the 11th HPA Awards will be announced during a gala ceremony, November 17, 2016, at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA.
