Rodeo FX is extremely proud to be part of the amazing VFX team nominated for Outstanding Special and Visual Effects at the 67th Emmy Awards. Led by VFX Supervisor Joe Bauer and VFX Producer Steve Kullback, a handful of talented studios, including Rodeo FX, contributed to the spectacular visual effects of the popular TV series. Game of Thrones is aiming for a 4th award, wining the honors in the VFX category for the past three years.

Rodeo FX completed nearly 200 visual effects shots for Season 5 of Game of Thrones. The VFX studio used its expertise in animation, digital matte painting, and crowd simulation to create key sequences from scratch, including the creation of the Smoking Sea of Valyria and the city of Volantis, as well as the destruction of the Harpy statue atop the Meereen temple. Rodeo FX has extended and deepened its work for the show, for which it won an Emmy for Season 4.
